
19 May 2023 – UPark Central Market Car Park Modification
From Tuesday 23 May 2023 there will be some changes to navigating the UPark Central Market so please bear with us while we get used to the changes.
Access to the Market floor and street entries to the car park will remain unchanged at all times. Friendly UPark staff will be hand to help during Market trading hours and, keep a look out for new wayfinding information.
The Adelaide Central Market you know and love is open as usual, trading Tuesday to Saturday.
Parking Nearby
For additional parking, UPark Andrew (via Bowen or Andrew Street) and UPark Grote Street, are both open and available for Market shoppers. And, from 27 May 2023 Market shoppers can enjoy 3 hours free parking on Saturdays when you park at UPark Andrew or Grote Street, simply by validating your ticket at The Market Stall or using your UPark Plus card. UPark Central Market Modification from 23 May 2023
When will the change commence?
The UPark Central Market modification will commence from 22 May 2023, until the end of completion of the Market Square and Market Expansion project.
Where is the change in the car park?
Level 1 of UPark Central Market will be reconfigured for the commencement of Market Square and Market Expansion building works.
The main changes to navigating the car park are:
- Installation of hoarding along the Eastern side of level 1
- Traffic direction change ramp down to level 1 from Level 2 North East corner
- Traffic direction change ramp up to level 2 from Level 1 North East corner
All parking bays located on Level 2 of UPark Central Market will remain available and unchanged.
Do you still have accessible parking?
Yes. Allocations of accessible parking bays, pram parking bays and electric vehicle bays remain available and unchanged during this time.
How do I enter UPark Central Market?
UPark Central Market remains accessible 24/7 via existing entry/exits both for vehicles and customers to the Market Floor during trading hours.
How many car parks are there?
750 car parks are available, with the best short term value parking in the city.
Is first hour free parking still available?
First hour free parking at UPark Central Market remains available during Market trading hours via the UPark Market Lovers Plus card. Find out more
Where else can I park?
Located directly across from the Adelaide Central Market just off Grote Street (via Bowen or Andrew St), UPark Andrew is open and available for Market shoppers. UPark Andrew has the same great value short term parking as UPark Central Market including first hour free at during Market trading hours during UPark Plus. UPark Grote Street is also available, across from the Market.
